Our Values

The gospel is our message and our method.

The gospel is good news, not good advice. It announces what God has done in Christ through the Holy Spirit to put us in a right relationship with the triune God. The Father sent the Son to live, die, and rise in our place. The Son sent the Spirit to apply the work of redemption to our hearts.

Being gospel-centered means that we try to connect what we believe to how we live. The gospel pushes us to be humble since our self-worth is not in what we can do but in what Christ has done. The gospel makes us confident because God has promised to never leave us nor forsake us. The gospel makes us generous because receiving grace from God compels us to extend grace to others.

People are the mission.

God loves people and so do we. We seek to be friendly and hospitable as we meet spiritual needs with the message of the gospel and physical needs with the compassion that the gospel produces.

God saves me to be part of a we.

Being part of a church involves caring for each other, bearing each other’s burdens, and learning from each other. We share ordinary, everyday life with the people we have come to know and love. Jesus taught us that the world will know that we are his disciples by the love that we have for each other. This requires us to be more than a Sunday church, but an everyday church with an everyday mission.
